At Darwin Clayton we believe that every business, no matter what size, has an impact on society and the environment.

We therefore aim to reduce the environmental impact of our business, and support the communities in which we operate.

These are material issues and have potential to influence

  • our costs, which has a direct impact on our profitability

  • revenue opportunities, and hence growth

  • our brand and reputation

  • our ability to attract and retain not only customers and clients but also employees

  • our relationships with other companies, suppliers, and customers


We work very hard to make sure that as much of the waste as possible we produce is re-cycled, this includes


We aim to be a “paperless” office.

Paper is securely re-cycled by a local recycling company who are accredited to the ISO 9001:2000 standard, are currently working towards ISO 14001 and is a member of both the British Safety Council's and Confederation of Paper Industries Recovered Paper Sector's Health and Safety Committees.

They have a stringent Environmental policy which is underpinned by the adherence to the principle of sustainability. We always obtain letters of destruction to ensure that any confidential documents are destroyed securely.


Waste is collected by a local based company who are registered and certified by the Environment Agency. They hold a Certificate of Registration under the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011

IT equipment

We continue to invest in updating our IT equipment. This had led to better efficiencies in the use of electricity and toners etc.

Old IT equipment is collected again by a local company, taken to a licensed Approved Authorised Treatment Facility in Kent, one of the most up to date in Europe, where it’s broken down into component base materials and recycled in accordance with the WEEE Directive.

Culture and Social

All our staff have training on Health and Safety, and where appropriate we encourage our employees to take professional qualifications. We make sure that our offices offer a safe and pleasurable place to work.

At Darwin’s our staff actively raise for charity throughout the year. The charities we support include Children in Need, Comic Relief, British Heart Foundation and Breast Cancer Awareness.
